We last stayed at the Glenbank in December 2010, before Alex and Julia took over the hotel. They have made a huge improvement, upgrading the rooms to a high standard, including central heating! They made us welcome from the moment we arrived. Although we only sampled Breakfast, the food was excellent. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in the Borders.
We were delighted to welcome Megan and Anya Richards and their parents to the Glenbank in early January and were even more delighted when 6 year old Megan left us feedback on her stay, with a wonderful picture showing a hotel full of happy people and also one of our llamas which lives nearby.
Thanks Megan and don’t forget to bring Anya and Mum & Dad back to stay another time!
This hotel fulfilled our expectations admirably. As a group of golfers up for a good time in the borders we needed a spacious, warm room in good decorative order, with good en suite facilities and easy access to the town and golf courses. The Glenbank answered all these demands perfectly and had the added advantage of a friendly and knowledgeable golfer in charge, with the delightful Dominique from Brittany as his right-hand man. We definitely landed on our feet!

Mooie kamers, vriendelijk ontvangst, goede verzorging.
Het diner is uitstekend, tegen heel redelijke prijs, goedkoper dan in de meeste restaurants.

Een weekje Schotland is eigenlijk te kort. Jedburgh is de moeite waard en zeker een verblijf in dit fantastisch huiselijke hotel. Alex (de eigenaar) is erg gastvrij en heeft koste nog moeite gespaard om het ons erg naar de zin te maken. Ondanks dat Alex nog druk bezig was met het opknappen van zijn mooie stekje werd er een kamer voor ons en de kinderen ingericht. Dominique, verantwoordelijk voor bar en keuken heeft zijn zaken goed voor elkaar!
Prijs/kwaliteit is zeer goed.

We highly recommend this delightful hotel as we had really good accomodation there and with a bar, off street parking and a great restaurant it has all you need.
Not only that, our host Alex went out of his way making hotel and ferry bookings for us, which we had not been able to do anywhere else, for well over an hour allowing us peace of mind for the rest of our trip.
Julia was a delightful hostess in the bar and restaurant and we are very thankful to both of them for their hospitlaity.

We stayed at the Glenbank with the lovely Julia and Alex forever singing “yooo hooo”!!! to his llama’s. We spent the weekend assisting Julia and Alex in Llama handling techniques and giving trade secrets away! the end result coudn’t have been better Julia and Alex had two Llama’s that were leading beautifully by the second day and they looked like professional handler’s, and us, well we had a very comfy room with good food and company combined with wonderful weather, it’s a hard job but it had to done! A truely pleasurable relaxing stay we would recommend the Hotel to anyone who is looking for a truely warm welcome. We hope to visit again soon.

Beautifull hotel, nice beds en very good food.
The owners and staff give you a feeling off being at home. The bar is Scottish and we had a lot of fun. De owner is a real entertainer and everybody is very helpfull.

We got married in your gardens a couple of years ago and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. A great hotel, wonderful location - highly recommended. We had a wonderful day, with the evening meal being one of the highlights, service was great as was the food. A++++ to all the staff
Fabulous find, delightful little place. The accommodation is beautiful, the beds are so, so comfy you hardly want to get up. Lovely little dining room, and the bar is very Scottish, and the owners and staff are extremely friendly and helpful - highly recommend to anyone. “5 stars”

A group of us stayed at the Glenbank and we could not be any more pleased on our choice of hotel. The room was very nice and comfortable and the food was lovely especially the scones they were beautiful. We are very much hopeing to go back soon.
